Having Multiple Twitter Accounts!

If you own multiple websites, or you are part of a network you might considering opening up two twitter accounts, one that is used just by you, and one that is used by your team to post updates regarding your products and services.
Since Twitter is a great way to communicate and establish or promote an online presence for your website or business, posting updates as often as possible is a great way to keep people informed and generate new business from people who choose to follow you, after seeing your updates on their friends Twitter pages.
Using two accounts is also useful if you want to promote your personal ventures on your own Twitter account (personal blogs, etc) or using this account just to chat with family and friends.
With your second Twitter account you could keep it all about business, adding only people you network with, share similar business interests, or wish to promote your services to.
People have done this with Facebook when they wanted to keep their friends and family separate from their business contacts, since with Facebook your family connections are visible to anyone on your list, including how you are related or know the person.
While Twitter is much easier to use than Facebook (and very small in comparison the many features of the Facebook network), managing two accounts might be something worth considering if you run businesses in various niche markets where you may not wish to disclose to your competition.

Today I will discuss some of the tools I have found to improve your use of Twitter in relation to your blog and a couple that have been helpful for using Twitter.
First to integrate your Twitter feed on to your blog there are a couple items you can use. Tweet My Blog will allow you to easily add your latest tweets to your sidebar. It will also send your latest blog post out as a tweet to your Twitter account automatically.
A similar plugin with a few more features is Twitter Tools,. This will also allow you to use your tweets as blog posts. Either of these will allow you to automate the process and send tweets when you update your blog along with showing your tweets on your blog.
There is another tool that will allow you to auto post your blog posts to Twitter called Twitter Feed which will monitor your blog’s RSS feed and post to Twitter when it finds new information on a regularly scheduled basis. It also works with other services like Ping.fm
This service allows you to post at one pl;ace and have it update Twitter along with your other social sites like Facebook, Friend Feed, et al.
There are a couple tools that will help you monitor and stay active with Twitter. The two that I have tried are Twhirl and TweetDeck.
Tweet Deck is much more powerful and allows you to search, set up groups and more. Again a reminder this is not a report about using Twitter and these various tools others have covered those extensively but how you can use Twitter to enhance your blogging efforts.
Another plugin that allows you to add a place in your comments for people to leave their Twitter username called WP Twitip ID. This way you can find the people who are commenting on your blog and be able to strengthen the relationship through Twitter conversations too.
It also allows your readers to connect with those leaving valuable comments which is a true win – win and another way for others to want to contribute to the conversation there.
Another tool that I have added to my blogs is Twitter This. Anyone reading my blog can submit there Twitter ID and password and it will automatically tweet to their account about your post with a link back to that post. Think this may help you get more readers?

You Have to Work To Make Money

Don’t be deluded or mesmerized by the adverts that proliferate the internet with promises of making thousands of dollars for only 30 minutes work a day. What they don’t tell you is the truth. Yes, some affiliate marketers and tweeters may spend 30 to 60 minutes a day working on their online business, but believe me when I say they only reached that level of input after spending many hours setting up their business and getting everything running smoothly.
So, initially you do have to work if you to make money. Look, there is a long list of things you have to put in place before you’re online business sees a red cent!
- Choosing a program to promote
- Deciding on a domain name
- Choosing a web hosting company
- Set up email accounts and sub domains
- Designing a sales page
- Joining an ecommerce site
- Joining an autoresponder site
- Writing follow-up letters
- Marketing your product
- Researching keywords
- Building a list
And these are only basic functions of setting up an online business. Now, do you really thing all that can be done in 30 minutes? I don’t think so.

Build Your Business With Twitter

The first thing you should do as a new twitter user is to set up your profile, so that those visiting your page see that you are active within the community and are far more likely to follow you.
One of the biggest mistakes that new twitter marketers make is in immediately adding contacts to their following list, without having issued out tweets, updated their profile or uploaded a photo of themselves.
This makes sense if you already have an online presence and are simply incorporating your current contacts from your address book or mailing list, but if you are currently working to establish your brand or grow
So, the first thing you should do is to complete your profile page. This is the entry point that every potential follower visits before adding you as a contact.
You need to make that you provide useful information about yourself so that people can either identify you, or at the very least, know what you are offering, are involved in or are interested in.
There are a few different fields relating to your profile that should never be left out, including your full name and your website URL.
Since your username becomes part of your twitter profile’s URL, you should also make sure that you use a username that is relevant to your market, niche or represents your business.
For example my twitter username is ‘moneymarketer’. When other tweeters see my name they will immediately undertand that I am a tweeter who is interested in marketing and making money.
Also when you are choosing your username try and include keywords that represent your niche. Too many tweeters do not use keywords in their user name. If you cannot incorporate featured keywords in your username you should ensure that you use it/them in your profile/bio so that you are more likely to be included in search results each time someone enters in a relevant keyword associated with your market.
Your bio shouldn’t showcase just keywords, however. You also want to ensure that you provide a bit of information about yourself, so that people who aren’t familiar with you can get to know who you are, and consider following you.Your bio field, just like any twitter broadcast you send out, is also limited to only 140 characters, so you’ll need to take some time to determine the best terms to describe yourself and your business.
Separate keywords with comma’s so that each keyword is individually placed:
Example: Social marketer, writer, online business, speaker
When you are satisfied with your account, it’s time to write your first tweet! This can make people a little anxious, especially since once you post a tweet, everyone who visits your profile or chooses to follow you will be able to see it.
